Getting Started > Forms > Form Connections |
You can connect various forms to each other using Connections feature. Any change in the options you make for one of the windows within the chain automatically effects the other windows.
You can create connections between the forms by selecting “Connections” item on the right-click menu of the form or using F2 key.
Form Connections window consists of following sections.
For example, you can create a connection between the list of securities you follow and financials form. If you click on Connections from Financials Form, you need to select the “Security” from the Source, then press Add and you will see Financials (Security) <-> Security List (Selected Security) in the Active Connections section. Upon your move from one security to another in the Security List the Financials form will be updated with the financials for the selected security.
An example of multiple “Securities” connection would be the connection between Reports and News forms. If you click on Connections from Reports Form, you need to select “Securities” from the Source, “Securities” from the Target, then press Add and you will see Reports (Securities) <-> News (Securities) in the Active Connections section. The Reports for the selected securities and News for the same selected securities will be displayed.
