The Overbought/Oversold indicator is a 10 period exponential moving average of the Advance-Decline Issues.
Values over +200 are considered bearish, and values under -200 are considered bullish. When the indicator falls below +200 a sell signal is generates, when it rises above -200 a buy signal is generated. Values around zero indicate market congestion.
Calculation:
OBOS = EMA10 (ADV – DEC)
EMA10= 10-period Exponential Moving Average
ADV = The number of advancing issues
DEC = The number of declining issues
