The Triple Exponentail Moving Average(TEMA) is a smoothing indicator with less lag than a straight exponential moving average.
The TEMA was developed by Patrick Mulloy and is described in his article in the January, 1994 issue of Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities magazine.
Calculation:
EMA = Exponential Moving Average
Inputs:
Price Field = Close
Indicates Open, High, Low or Closing price.
Period = 21
Indicates time period(the number of days for daily analysis, the number of weeks for weekly analysis, etc.).
