This ratio shows the rate of the Taxes in the Pretax Profit value.
Taxes are given as negative in the financials. For this reason the formula uses the absolute value of the Taxes item.
Calculation:
Effective Tax Rate = Abs ( Taxes ) / Pretax Profit
This item gives the trailing Effective Tax Ratio value of the preceding four periods.
Calculation:
Effective Tax Rate – TTM = ( Taxes – TTM * (-100) ) / Pretax Profit - TTM
This item gives the Effective Tax Rate value of the security for the selected quarter.
Calculation:
Effective Tax Rate – QTR = [ Taxes – QTR * (-100) ] / Pretax Profit - QTR
