Peer – Dividend Yield
Dividend yield analysis provides the significant advantage to the shareholders with a deeper look on dividend payments. The purpose of this screen is to compare dividend payments and dividend yield within the same peer group of securities.
Here you can review in detail current market capitalization, 6 months average trading value, last dividend payment date along with the last year, the last 3 years and the last 5 years dividend yield performances of the securities.
The target of this screen is to help you in determining the securities which make regular dividend payments each year. For the companies which make regular dividend payments for last 3 and 5 years, dividend count would be 3 and 5 respectively. (If the company makes several dividend payments within the same year, they are still counted as “1”)
Adjusted Dividend Yield
When calculating the dividend yield for any dividend payment in the past, instead of using the close price on the previous date of the dividend payment, the price is adjusted by the current price, this way the data is adjusted to the current level which results in a more “accurate” average dividend yield calculation.
Adjusted Dividend Yield (%) = AVG [ Dividend Yield(%) * Closing Price on the previous date of the dividend payment / Current Closing Price ]
