Dividend Yield data is an important indicator especially for the long-term investors which is calculated by dividing the total dividend amount by the market capitalization value.

Security Selection: You can pick one security or more.

Show Names: You can check this box in order to display names of the securities.

Date Selection: You can pick dates you are interested in.

Gross/Net: You can use net or gross dividend payment amount in the calculation.

Currency: You can view the list in any currency. Default value is the one you selected as the Default Currency at the start-up or from the Tools>Options>Default window. 

Price Reference Date: You can select payment date or a specific date interval for the calculation of the MCAP value.

• When you select the payment date option, MCAP value on the previous date will be used in the calculation so that the negative effect of the dividend payment is removed.
• You can select a specific date interval for average MCAP value. 
  For instance, select 01/12/2007 - 31/12/2007 date interval to calculate dividend yield of BOLUC for the year 2007. If Payment Date is selected it will be calculated as 13.09% , otherwise as 14.21%. Difference of the market capitalization values for the specified dates results in difference of dividend yields.

Calculation:

Dividend Yield(%)= Sum(Dividend Amount)/MCAP(t-1) 

          MCAP(t-1)= Market capitalization of the security on the previous date of the dividend payment

Dividend Yield(%)= Sum(Dividend Amount)/MCAP(rt)   

          MCAP(rt)= Average market capitalization of the security on the reference date interval
