Operating Margin

This item represents Operating Profit divided by Net Sales. A ratio used to measure a company's operating efficiency. The higher the value, the better. Besides, the value should be compared to the average operating margin of the sector the company in.

 

Calculation:

Operating Margin - MRQ = Operating Profit / Net Sales

 

Operating Margin - TTM

This item gives the trailing Operating Margin value of the preceding four periods. It also gives an idea about the proportion of the Operating Profit value to the Net Sales value.

 

Calculation:

Operating Margin - TTM = ( Operating  Profit – TTM * 100 ) / Net Sales - TTM

 

Operating Margin - QTR

This item gives the Operating Margin value of the security for the selected quarter.

 

Calculation:

Operating Margin – QTR = ( Operating Profit – QTR * 100 ) / Net Sales - QTR
