The Upside/Downside Volume (UDVol) is the difference between the upside volume and downside volume.
The values oscillate around 0. You can look for 0 level passes for short term buy/sell signals.
The trend is accepted to be more important than the value of the indicator.
Calculation:
UPV = The total volume of the securities with a higher closing price of the previous closing price
DNV = The total volume of the securities with a lower closing price of the previous closing price
